Week 18 Master Key Adventure

5 Ways Happy People Think Differently

I did struggle with giving myself permission.  I found myself  struggling with thoughts like, “you don’t deserve to be happy”  and  ” you don’t deserve to be successful”.  I knew that was not true and that those thought and emotions were not accurate but was fighting within myself for that permission until……

The day of the super bowl, there was a comment made at the end of the game by the quarterback of the Seahawks . His desire and his purpose showed forth in his word, and not only did his comment affect his own desire, it was contagious and effected the whole team.   When he was younger,  He was told he was too short to be a quarterback in the NFL.  His Father did not accept that as truth and made this statement to him….  “Why not you?”  He took that and said “Yes, Why not me?”

He not only saw his desire come true and became a NFL quarterback , but his team made it to the Superbowl and WON!   His attitude was contagious,  for  at the beginning of the season he encouraged  his team, by saying, “Someone is going to win the Superbowl, why not US?”  And that is exactly what they did!

So , if your still having a struggle, and giving permission to yourself is difficult, ask yourself this question……..WHY NOT YOU?            If you believe in yourself enough, you can make it happen.

Onward and Upward!

Shelly, I really loved this story about Russel Wilson, Seahawk’s quarterback. He determined in his heart to overcome any implied limitations and then inspired his team to win the Superbowl. Great stuff!

Why Not You? Great R2A2. “This date in history, February 8, 1986,
5-foot-7 Spud Webb of the Atlanta Hawks scored two perfect scores of 50 to beat teammate Dominique Wilkins in Spud’s hometown of Dallas during the Nestle Crunch Slam Dunk.” Physical size is no limitation when your heart’s desire is strong. Onward and Upward Shelly!

You wrote about a simply concept to talk about but difficult for many to believe, Shelly, and I am glad you used the Super Bowl and Russell Wilson as an example. His belief rubbed off on his team mates and they did follow through by winning; each week they got stronger and stronger. The thought of “why not me?” is powerful! Thank you!

Russell Wilson is an amazing example of what it takes to succeed!!!
His father gave him permission to ‘BE’ all he could be & he did it!!! We are told a lot of things in life but… we don’t have to accept them… So… ”Why not you?” YOU now have taken ownership of that and now you say “Yes, Why not me?” This is so amazingly powerful!

You wrote: “I did struggle with giving myself permission.” Eureka… you found it, that is the Permission to “BE YOU” YOU have the permission to be the blessing the Creator God gave to you… you are amazingly and wonderfully made… Great Blog post… Thank you!
